Form comes from holding back

On the table is not the form. It is what it no longer is: the second edge meant to «explain»; the chamfer that faked calm; the paragraph that tried to replace effect with words. Holding back is not a virtue speech and not a style. It is a list.

Cut: the line that was only taste. Cut: the radius that ironed every tension flat. Cut: the detail that buys applause and distributes load as if applause were statics. Applause does not count in the inventory.

Left: section, weight, light edge — what still carries when nobody is watching. Addition does not make the form. What stands after almost everything has been removed does.

Probe: if you delete the caption — does a thing remain for the next viewer, or only the explanation of its intention?
